Here are my Top 3 social media marketing podcasts for 2016. Zig Ziglar, one of the greatest motivational speakers of the last 50 years, used a phrase called Automobile University. He was talking about how we can increase our knowledge while driving from place to place. The concept could also be called Walking University, Working Out University, In Flight University, or On My Couch University. My point is that there are so many free educational opportunities out there, including podcasts.
Ovation Social is about the inner game and the outer game of business success. In a future post, I’ll list my top mindset podcasts. But first, allow me to introduce my current favorite social media marketing podcasts that give so much value about raising our marketing game!
1. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
This podcast was easy for me to rank #1. I don’t listen to every episode of each podcast that I subscribe to, but I always listen to every episode that Amy Porterfield publishes. In addition to her highly informative guests, Amy just shines as a host. She’s personable, kind, and goes above and beyond to help her audience with actionable content. I also like that Amy also gives away a “freebie” each episode that ties into the topic.
Recents favorite topics have included: How to Grow a Profitable Facebook Group, Using Periscope to Grow Your Business, How to Create a Killer Sales Page Headline, and How to Boost Your Webinar Sales.
Check out Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield. It’s so good!
iTunes Description: “Facebook Marketing All in One for Dummies” co-author and online entrepreneur Amy Porterfield shows you exactly how to monetize your online marketing and blogging efforts using her own tested, ACTIONABLE lead generation strategies — so you can successfully launch and promote a new program, grow your email list, get more leads, build your authority, turn your customers into raving advocates OR simply find the time (and mindset!) to rock your social media and content marketing. From creating an online course to video marketing, webinar recording, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, new content creation (including eBooks, guides and cheat sheets) and email marketing, Amy is going to reveal what works (and what doesn’t) once and for all. Why? Because after an awesome, inspiring stint with Harley Davidson and Tony Robbins, Amy figured out what she really loves: helping small business owners like you break down BIG, powerful strategies into step-by-step actions…so you can see BIG, powerful results, fast.
2. Social Media Marketing with Michael Stelzner
Michael Stelzner is the founder of the Social Media Examiner. It’s the world’s largest social media resource. What I like most about this podcast is that every episode is practical and specific. Michael obviously knows his stuff. He also has access to the most accomplished marketers on social media platforms. For example, Michael recently interviewed Natalie Jill. Natalie explained a unique social strategy using Pinterest that helped her grow 1.3 million Facebook fans and 476,000 Instagram fans. WOW!
Other recent episodes include: How Marketers Can Win with Snapchat, LinkedIn Mobile: What Marketers Need to Know, What Marketers Need to Know about YouTube Advertising, and Apps to Better Manage Your Blog.
